Death Bed

It was early in the morning at four,
When death knocked upon a bedroom door,

Who is there? The sleeping one cried.

I'm Malakul Mawt, let me inside.

At once, the man began to shiver,
As one sweating in deadly fever,

He shouted to his sleeping wife,
Don't let him take away my life.

Please go away, O Angel of Death!

Leave me alone; I'm not ready yet.

My family on me depends,
Give me a chance, O please prepense!

The angel knocked again and again,
Friend! I'll take your life without a pain,

This your soul Allah requires,

I come not with my own desire.

Bewildered, the man began to cry,
O Angel I'm so afraid to die,

I'll give you gold and be your slave,
Don't send me to the unlit grave.

Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said,

Open the door; get up from your bed,

If you do not allow me in,
I will walk through it, like a Jinn.

The man held a gun in his right hand,
Ready to defy the Angel's stand.

I'll point my gun, towards your head,

You dare come in; I'll shoot you dead.

By now the Angel was in the room,
Saying, O Friend! Prepare for your doom.

Foolish man, Angels never die,
Put down your gun and do not sigh.

Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,

To die according to Allah's plan?

Come smile at me, do not be grim,
Be Happy to return to Him.

O Angel! I bow my head in shame,
I had no time to take Allah's Name.

From morning till dusk, I made my wealth,

Not even caring for my health.

Allah's command I never obeyed,
Nor five times a day I ever prayed.

A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went,
But no time had I to repent.

The Hajj was already FARD on me,

But I would not part with my money.

All charities I did ignore,
Taking usury more and more.

O Angel! I appeal to you,
Spare my life for a year or two.

The Laws of Quran I will obey,
I'll begin SALAT this very day.


My Fast and Hajj, I will complete,
And keep away from self-conceit.

I will refrain from usury,
And give all my wealth to charity,

We Angels do what Allah demands,
We cannot go against His commands.



Death is ordained for everyone,
Father, mother, daughter or son.

I'm afraid this moment is your last,
Now be reminded, of your past,

I do understand your fears,
But it is now too late for tears.


You lived in this world, two score and more,
Never did you, your people adore.

Your parents, you did not obey,
Hungry beggars, you turned away.

Instead of making more Muslims,
You made your children non-Muslims.


You ignored the Mua'dhin Adhaan,
Nor did you read the Holy Quran.

Breaking promises all your life,
Backbiting friends, and causing strife.

From hoarded goods, great profits you made,

And your poor workers, you underpaid.

Horses and cards were your leisure,
Moneymaking was your pleasure.

You ate vitamins and grew more fat,
With the very sick, you never sat.

A pint of blood you never gave,

Which could a little baby save?

O Human, you have done enough wrong,
You bought good properties for a song.

When the farmers appealed to you,
You did not have mercy, this true.

Paradise for you? I cannot tell,

Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.


There is no time for you to repent,
I'll take your soul for which I am sent.

The ending however, is very sad,
Eventually the man became mad

With a cry, he jumped out of bed,

And suddenly, he fell down dead.

O Reader! Take moral from here,
You never know, your end may be near

Change your living and make amends
For heaven, on your deeds depends.

Whom ALLAH loves

1- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuhsineen
for Allah loveth those who do good
(2:195)

2- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu attawwabeena wayuhibbu almutatahhireen
For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
(2:222)

3- فَإِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
fa-inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeen
verily Allah loves those who act aright
( 3:76)

4- وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineen
for Allah loves those who do good
(3:134)

5- وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ
waAllahu yuhibbu assabireen
And Allah Loves those who are firm and steadfast.
(3:146)

6- وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineen
For Allah Loveth those who do good.
(3:148)

7- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileen
For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).
(3:159)

8- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuhsineen
for God loveth those who are kind
(5:13)

9- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuqsiteen
For God loveth those who judge in equity.
(5:42)

10- وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineen
For God loveth those who do good.
(5:93)

11- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeen
for Allah loveth the righteous.
(9:4)

12- إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeen
for Allah doth love the righteous
(9:7)


13- وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ
waAllahu yuhibbu almuttahhireen
and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure.
(9:108)

14- إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuqsiteen
for Allah loves those who are fair (and just).
(49:9)

15- إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ
inna Allaha yuhibbu almuqsiteen
for Allah loveth those who are just.
(60:8)

Whom ALLAH loves not

1- إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبِّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeen
for Allah loveth not transgressors.
( 2:190)

2- وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ
waAllahu la yuhibbu kulla kaffarin atheem
For He loveth not creatures ungrateful and wicked.
(2:276)

3- فَإِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ
fa-inna Allaha la yuhibbu alkafireen
Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.
(3:32)

4- وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبّ ُالظَّالِمِينَ
waAllahu la yuhibbu aZZalimeen
but Allah loveth not those who do wrong.
(3:57)

5- وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
waAllahu la yuhibbu aZZalimeen
And Allah loveth not those that do wrong.
(3:140)

6- إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالاً فَخُوراً
inna Allaha la yuhibbu man kana mukhtalan fakhoora
For God loveth not the arrogant, the vainglorious
(4:36)

7- إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ خَوَّاناً أَثِيماً
inna Allaha la yuhibbu man kana khawwanan atheema
for God loveth not one given to perfidy and crime
(4:107)

8- وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
waAllahu la yuhibbu almufsideen
And God loveth not those who do mischief.
(5:64)

9- إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeen
for God loveth not those given to excess
(5:87)

10- إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen
for God loveth not the wasters.
(6:141)

11- إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen
for God loveth not the wasters.
(7:31)

12- إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
innahu la yuhibbu almuAAtadeen
for God loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds.
(7:55)

13- إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الخَائِنِينَ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu alkha-ineen
for Allah loveth not the treacherous
(8:58)

14- إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ
innahu la yuhibbu almustakbireen
verily He loveth not the arrogant.
(16:23)

15- إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu kulla khawwanin kafoor
Allah loveth not any that is a traitor to faith, or show ingratitude.
(22:38)

16- إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَرِحِينَ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu alfariheen
for Allah loveth not those who exult (in riches).
(28:76)

17- إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu almufsideen
for Allah loves not those who do mischief
(28:77)

18- إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ
innahu la yuhibbu alkafireen
For He loves not those who reject Faith.
(30:45)

19- إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ
inna Allaha la yuhibbu kulla mukhtalin fakhoor
for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.
(31:18)

20- إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
innahu la yuhibbu aZZalimeen
for ((Allah)) loveth not those who do wrong.
(42:40)

21- وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍَ
waAllahu la yuhibbu kulla mukhtalin fakhoor
For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster

Just Remember, Allah is The All-Kind.


When your life is in darkness,
And nothing is right,
Just Remember,
Through the darkness, Allah is The Light.


When nothing makes sense,
And your heading for demise,
Just Remember,
It doesn't make sense but, Allah is The All-Wise.


When times are troubled,
And no one seems to care,
Just Remember, Allah won't hurt you, He is Just.


When your heart is breaking,
And your pain makes you fall,
Just Remember, Allah Sees all.


When you are weak,
And the road seems long,
Just Remember, Seek strength from The All-Strong.


When life is a burden,
And everything is unstable,
Just Remember, Allah is Able to do all.



When the way is cloudy,
And there is no one by your side,
Just Remember, Allah is The Only Guide.
